How prescription delivery works

Sign in to kp.org and visit the Pharmacy page found in the main menu.2

Add a prescription to your cart and choose "Ship to address" as your delivery method. Before you check out, you’ll see any savings available when you order your prescription for delivery.

Review and submit your order. After you order, you can set prescriptions to auto refill. Check your order status online at any time.

Sign up for convenient auto refills

Spend less time managing your prescriptions and more time living your life. Sign in to your kp.org account or use the app to set your prescriptions to auto refill. We’ll automatically refill your prescriptions when they’re due and send you a text when they’re on the way — no need for you to do anything.

As a Kaiser Permanente member, you can get most prescriptions delivered to your door at no extra cost with standard shipping, as long as the medication isn’t a controlled substance, and is approved for mail delivery. Prescriptions should arrive within 3 to 7 business days of ordering.

Yes. You can set up auto refills for most prescriptions after your first order. To be eligible, prescriptions need to have at least one refill left and can’t be controlled substances. They also need to be approved for mail delivery and labeled “Auto Refill Eligible” in your medication list. 

Your prescriptions will be delivered within 3-7 business days of your order. Delivery time may vary by region.

You can get some prescriptions with next-day delivery for an additional $8.99 or with same-day delivery for $10.49. Same-day delivery isn’t available in Hawaii. Shipping costs may vary by region.3

How do I get same-day prescription delivery?4

Sign in to kp.org and click on the Pharmacy tab in the main menu. Choose your prescription and delivery preferences to order.56 Shipping costs may vary by region.

No, you don’t need to be home when your prescriptions are delivered.
Our system requires a credit card number to process the order. There won’t be any charges if you don’t have a pharmacy copay.
Your prescription will be delivered in secure packaging with your name and address on the outside. The security bag will prevent anyone from seeing what medication is being delivered.

We deliver to most states, but not to Alaska, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, or South Dakota.

Check your order status online

You can check the status of your prescription order through your kp.org account.  Here are the steps for setting up notifications:

  1. Sign in to kp.org/pharmacy.
  2. Choose "Profile and Preferences" from your "My Account" menu.
  3. Choose "Notifications."
  4. Choose "Pharmacy" from your list of options.
  5. Select how you'd like to receive order status updates.
