About me
I am originally from Vidalia, Ga., and completed my high school curriculum in Woodbridge, England on an air base. I knew I wanted to be a doctor in high school. I fell in love with the life sciences in tenth grade and committed my life to the study of science and health. I chose primary care because it allows you to take care of the whole person. I also like influencing others in making healthy living choices. I completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University and my medical degree at Meharry Medical College. I completed a double internship and residency, as well board certifications in both internal medicine and pediatrics, at Louisiana State University. My family and I remain huge LSU fans.
About my practice
Prevention is the true frontier in medicine, and I enjoy being able to help our members become healthy and empowering them to manage their own health. Total health requires being in tune with your body, mind and soul. I also believe faith and having a positive outlook influences your overall health.I specialize in internal medicine with a focus on prevention. I also serve as a physician marketing liason for the Northwest Atlanta area working with our sales teams to promote Kaiser Permanente's integrated delivery system.
How I thrive
I thrive by running. I have been a runner since childhood and really enjoy it. I have participated in several Kaiser Permanente sponsored run/walk events. I also enjoy gardening and spending time with my three children.I am very involved with my church, and I have also been active in women's ministry. I enjoy participating in community health fairs in the area. My husband and I believe in helping others thrive, and we are regular contributors to the Atlanta Union Mission.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
