About me
I was born in South Korea and moved to Georgia in elementary school. I have stayed in Georgia ever since, completing my undergraduate, medical school, and residency here. Before medical school I took two gap years working as a medical assistant and traveling around the world. I did not know it then, but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I chose to practice family medicine because I was fascinated by the diversity seen in primary care, whether that is diversity in people, ages, or variety of conditions and illnesses.
About my practice
I am a family medicine physician, trained to see all ages, from "womb to tomb." I am passionate about preventive care, patient education, and empowering patients to make informed decision about their health. I believe that knowledge of one's own health is an important part in the healing process towards a healthier life. I strive to have a holistic approach to medicine as I believe our physical, mental, and spiritual health are interlinked and interdependent. I feel privileged to be part of a team that truly cares for our members and works hard in providing high-quality care.
How I thrive
I thrive when I feel safe and supported. My family still lives in Georgia and their unconditional love and support truly fueled me through the difficulties in life. I owe it to them for where I am today. I also find my strength and endurance through my faith and community that helps me to stay grounded. My hobbies include exploring new restaurants around the city, hiking, gardening, watching movies, and lounging with my husband, our dog and our friends.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
