About me
I am a Savannah, Ga. native. I grew up going to the beach and out in the boat every weekend and all summer long. My most fond memories include my dad coaching me in basketball and my mom shuffling me to tennis practices and tournaments. Without being involved in sports, I do not feel I would have possessed the discipline, determination, and perseverance it took to get where I am today.
As a child, I became very ill and was in and out of hospitals and doctor visits. My passion for medicine arose during this time in my life. The nurse practitioner I saw most regularly inspired me to become one as well. I am so fortunate to have had the support emotionally, physically, and financially (dad/student loans) from my family and friends to achieve my goals.
About my practice
As a nurse practitioner, I try and look at the whole person. I believe being there emotionally for our members is just as important as being there medically for them. I strive to be a great patient advocate, shoulder to lean on, and clinician, all in one. My first job as a registered nurse was on an orthopedic surgery floor in Savannah. I loved it. It is only fitting that my first nurse practitioner job is with an orthopedic surgery team as well.
The collaboration between the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Department is truly amazing. I am so very thankful to be part of a diverse, compassionate, and skilled team.
How I thrive
I thrive in a happy and clean environment. I truly believe self-talk is the number one motivator and mood setter. If you wake up everyday and say, "It's going to be a great day. I am going to have a great day," then I believe it will be an awesome day! I also firmly believe in self-care. In order to care for others, you sometimes have to put yourself first. I personally hate working out, but I know I have to do it. Playing tennis is my outlet both physically and mentally. I also try to go on two vacations a year.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
