About me
I am from Vietnam originally and moved to Los Angeles with my family as immigrants. I finished my medical degree at LSU in New Orleans. It is very personal why I chose medicine. When my family first came to the U.S, we literally had nothing and did not know English. We heavily relied on a free care clinic who took care of the poor. I saw how much suffering these patients, including my family, had to go through and how much the doctors there were able to ease their worries. I thought to myself that perhaps, if I became a doctor, I would be able to help my family alleviate some of their suffering. At the same time, I would be able to help other people too.
About my practice
Because of my personal background, my care philosophy is simple. It is to care for my patients as if they are my own family. I also look at our members as a whole in relation to their family members and the community. I want to develop long-term relationships with my patients to really understand what is going on so that I can provide the best care possible for them.
How I thrive
I strongly believe in the balance of the mind, body, and spirit in order to achieve the most optimal health outcome. I try to keep that balance myself to be a good example to my patients. I wake up early every day to exercise, read and relax. Our family cooks healthy meals each day, which are mostly comprised of vegetable and fish. In addition, we pray together every night and go to church to stay connected with our faith.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
