Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Female
Yes, I’m accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
I was born and raised in Atlanta. After graduating from college, I moved to New York City. Having the opportunity to both live and work in almost every borough of NYC was an amazing adventure, but after 10 years, it was time for this Georgia Peach to return home from the Big Apple! I am thrilled to be a psychotherapist in the Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health Department, and I feel so grateful coming to work to do what I love every day.
When I was in middle school, I volunteered at a hospital and quickly realized helping others was an incredibly rewarding experience. From there, my volunteer work continued over the years, and while my career path did not lead me directly to social work, it became extremely evident over time that my volunteer jobs were not enough to keep me fulfilled. I am quite certain things happen for a reason and that I was meant to find clinical social work as my career. I received my master's degree in social work from New York University. In my clinical practice, I always consider each individual's unique needs and which therapeutic techniques may help in improving overall psychosocial functioning.
Kaiser Permanente has cultivated a work environment which fosters open communication, teamwork, professional development, lifelong learning and work-life balance. Professionally, I thrive in this environment. In my personal life, some activities which help me thrive include: spending time with my family and friends, traveling to other countries, taking photos, seeing live theatre, music, dance and practicing self-care for my mind, body and spirit.
