Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
My gender: Female
Yes, I’m accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
I was born in Liberia, but I grew up in the Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia area. I earned my bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Virginia and was a recipient of a post-baccalaureate research training award at the National Institute of Mental Health's (NIMH). I pursued my graduate degree at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, D.C. I completed my predoctoral internship in child/pediatric psychology at Children's Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University School of Medicine and I relocated to Atlanta to complete my postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine. Working with children and adolescents has always been instinctive for me, and being a part of Kaiser Permanente has made my pursuit of a career in clinical psychology extremely rewarding!
As a pediatric psychologist, I specialize in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents of all ages. My specialty areas include attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders and developmental delays. I also see children suffering from depression, anxiety, oppositional and/or defiant behavior, trauma, maltreatment and school and social challenges. I use treatment that is evidence-based, collaborative, developmentally sensitive and individualized to facilitate positive psychosocial health outcomes.
My religious faith is at the center of my life. I enjoy prayer, exercising, spa treatments, music and spending time with my loving family. The care I invest in my quality of life helps me to further enjoy helping youth build a bridge between physical health and mental well-being.
