About me
I was born and raised in Missouri, however was traveling the world with my parents at an early age watching them practice medicine in developing countries. I followed that compassion into medicine myself, and prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I worked for half a year in East Africa (Tanzania). I have also worked in Nigeria, Namibia, Uganda and Papua New Guinea over the past few years trying to give back and do my best to put my medical knowledge towards bettering the world.
I try to bring this compassion and passion to our Kaiser Permanente members. I like to hear about your stories and where you come from, both geographically but also in life. I feel this helps me not only get to know you, but also put your medical conditions in context. I believe in addressing a person as a whole, including where their social, psychological and physical health intersect. I learned this at an early age, and am trying to perfect this brand of medicine. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories!
About my practice
I believe in social determinants of health and addressing patient health holistically. This includes understanding where you come from both geographically as well as in life.
I am board certified in internal medicine and address most chronic conditions as well as acute medical issues.
I have a background in global health and tropical and travel medicine, so recent travelers and migrants should hopefully feel at home within my practice.
How I thrive
I thrive by talking to people and learning as much as I can. I believe everyone has a story to tell and something I can learn from, as well as vice versa. I love to travel, learn something new and experience different cultures.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
