About me
Fun fact about me, I am one of 33 children and of Fulani descent (which is the largest ethnic group in West Africa). I was born and raised in Guinea, where my passion for medicine started. Growing up around poverty and watching my loved ones die from preventable diseases, I knew early on I wanted to make a difference. At the time, I could not think of a better way to accomplish that than working in the field of medicine, where I am able to directly help those around me.
My family and I moved to the U.S. in 2000. Like many immigrants, we started out in New York then NewJersey. I went to college in Philadelphia and medical school in Ohio. I returned to Philadelphia for residency to be closer to my family. And yes, I am an Eagles fan and was excited to be in the city for the 2018 Super Bowl championship! After my son was born in 2019, my family decided to move to Atlanta to be closer to my in-laws.
About my practice
I enjoy taking care of our members. Pain medicine is complex, challenging and gratifying, which is why I am drawn to it. Being able to work with my patients in helping them identify why they are having pain and offering them available treatment options is very rewarding. Our goal is to achieve a more functional status by placing the members' priorities first. It is always a pleasure when patients tell me they are sleeping better or able to sit in a car for a prolonged period of time or cook a meal with their family.
How I thrive
My favorite activity is spending time with my family. My husband is a huge soccer fan and his team is Manchester United. We spend most of our Saturday mornings cheering the little league soccer teams or watching soccer on TV as a family. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and running outdoors. I inspire to run a marathon one day. My other outdoor passion is gardening.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
