About me
As the eldest "Army Brat" of a career military father and a dedicated elementary school teacher, I was born in El Paso, Texas, grew up in Zweibruecken, Germany, and consider Hattiesburg, Mississippi home. Hattiesburg is the home of the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) where I earned a bachelor's degree in foreign languages and chemistry and later a master's degree in history. Despite my unusual path to medicine, my desire to pursue a career in medicine was always present. The decision was solidified following my diagnosis of osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) at the age of 15. The care, support and compassion provided to my family and me by my team of physicians and nurses throughout more than two years of treatment reinforced my decision to become a physician. So, after graduate school, I completed medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
About my practice
I strive to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. From my personal experience, I understand that navigating any health care system can at times be overwhelming and difficult. As a primary care physician, I prioritize open communication with our members. The patient-doctor relationship is a partnership. My hope is that by not only sharing my clinical knowledge but also actively listening, my patients and I can work together to make the best decisions for their health.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, swimming and traveling. (That's one of the best things about living in the great city of Atlanta - the airport!) I am currently trying to learn Spanish because my favorite country to visit is Mexico. I am also the proud mother of two very spoiled furbabies, Quincy (a Yorkie) and Oliver (a Schizon).
Additionally, I'm active in the USM Alumni Association and a Diamond-Life Member of the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a sisterhood founded on public service. Through both my personal and professional engagement, I am looking forward to servicing the greater Atlanta community.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-232-4404, seven days a week, 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
