Where I practice
I am happy to be practicing in the city of Atlanta where I have grown up. After graduating from Starr's Mill High School, I relocated to Baltimore where I received my bachelor's degree at Johns Hopkins University. I then returned home to Atlanta to receive my medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine and to complete my internal medicine residency training. I served as chief resident for a year after graduation then stayed at the university to complete my three-year cardiology fellowship. I was happy to join Kaiser Permanente following the completion of my program. Kaiser Permanente's mission to serve the needs of the community and to put the emphasis on high-quality, patient-centered care resonated with my purpose for entering the profession.
About my practice
I was drawn to cardiology for being one of the most rapidly developing and data driven fields in medicine. It is exciting to be in a field with constant innovation and ever evolving tools to improve outcomes. I am a general cardiologist and see members with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease and rhythm disorders amongst other health conditions. I also have a special interest in women's health. I am board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and echocardiography.
How I thrive
My family is my greatest joy and I am happiest spending time in their company. In my spare time, I also enjoy trying new recipes and curling up with a good book.
