About me
I was born and raised in northern California but spent most of my adult life in the Northeast. I received my master's degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). I love being a physician assistant because it allows me the ability to practice in multiple subspecialties. My experience in adult orthopedics, family medicine, interventional pain management, and pediatric orthopedics all contribute to making me the provider I am today.
About my practice
As a board certified physician assistant within Kaiser Permanente's Department of Orthopedics, my scope of practice includes: evaluating and treating orthopedic injuries, ordering and interpreting tests, performing injections, aligning broken bones and casting. I enjoy seeing patients for any orthopedic concern, but my favorite condition to treat is "trigger finger" because of the high success rate.
My mission is to help people remain active for as long as possible and to make a positive difference in the lives I touch. I offer our members an overview of treatment modalities ranging from conservative care to interventional procedures and surgeries. I prioritize my patients' goals and timelines while considering any limitation as a result of injury or disease process. Together, the patient and I develop an individualized treatment plan that caters to the their specific needs.
How I thrive
At work, I thrive from patient interactions. I learn something new from my patients every day. When I started in pediatric orthopedics, I did not fully appreciate the tears and profound sadness of young athletes when I told them they needed to rest from their sport. Their passion and dedication inspired me to compete in my first triathlon. As race day approached, I became super focused on my training program and ignored aches and strains despite knowing that resting and modifying my routine would help improve my performance faster. At that moment, I understood the determination and disappointment of my pediatric athletes when I told them to refrain from their activity until their bones healed.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need.
