About me
Originally from a small town in South Carolina, my journey in medicine was first sparked by my time working in my father's own medical practice. I subsequently went on to earn my medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. From there I continued my training by completing my residency in internal medicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where I had the honor of serving as chief fellow. My experiences along the way have fostered a passion in me for helping patients achieve their best digestive health, combining the latest advances in gastroenterology with a personalized, patient-centered approach. After multiple years of medical training and practice outside the region I am excited to call the Southeast home again and develop strong relationships with my patients here.
About my practice
My practice encompasses the full spectrum of general gastroenterology, allowing me to diagnose and treat a broad range of digestive health concerns. I value staying current with advances in gastroenterology and believe in a holistic, patient-centered approach. My goal is to partner with each patient, taking the time to listen, educate, and collaborate on personalized care plans that promote long-term digestive health and overall well-being. Whether you are seeking help with common issues such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, or more complex conditions like inflammatory bowel disease or liver disorders, I am committed to guiding you every step of the way. Together, we will work toward achieving your health goals and improving your quality of life.
How I thrive
Outside of medicine, I thrive most by blending my enthusiasm for gastroenterology with a love of cooking, the great outdoors, and most of all quality time with my wonderful wife and our two children. Experimenting in the kitchen lets me unwind and share healthy meals with my loved ones, while spending time with my kids keeps me grounded and joyful. Exploring Georgia's beautiful parks and trails helps me recharge, ensuring I bring energy and balance to both my personal life and my medical practice.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
