About me
I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Since then, I lived outside of Toronto, Canada for medical school, in Rochester, N.Y. for residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and then in Chicago, where I worked for eight years as an Ob/Gyn at a medical center. My husband is originally from Georgia, so we moved back to raise our son and daughter and enjoy the warmer weather! I have a special interest in women's issues and helping a woman become an advocate for her health and reproductive rights is very important to me. I enjoy seeing women of all ages throughout their lifespan: for pregnancy, contraception, fertility, menstrual issues and menopausal concerns. I especially love treating the pediatric and adolescent population and empowering young girls to better their health and welfare, with a no-judgment, open-door policy. I believe education in medicine is a key component to better health care.
About my practice
I perform Ob/Gyn procedures and have additional training in operative and advanced laparoscopy, including laparoscopic hysterectomies. I also perform vaginal surgeries, including total vaginal hysterectomy. I excel in office procedures for abnormal pap smears, as well and minor gynecologic surgeries in the office setting to avoid admittance to the hospital. I work collaboratively with our sub-specialties, such as maternal fetal medicine, uro-gynecology and gynecologic oncology to ensure you receive the high-quality care you deserve. My office is LGBTQ friendly, and I love to hear about each member as an individual person.
How I thrive
I love yoga, running (with and without my dog), dancing, hiking and reading books. I enjoy all types of music. I find that music warms the soul and can sometimes express more than words, so I can often be found at home with earbuds in, my eyes closed and enjoying my music. My family and I enjoy traveling and have been to many international locations. Over the years, I have enjoyed volunteering for various organizations such as Big Sisters, YMCA and women's shelters. I am excited about extending my branches in Atlanta and becoming an involved physician in the community.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process.
