About me
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, as the youngest of four children. My love of medicine began in high school while volunteering at a local community hospital. I found fulfillment in being able to help people during a stressful time in their lives, and I decided to pursue a career in medicine. When I was introduced to neurology during my first year of medical school, the field captured my interest immediately. The nervous system is incredibly complex, and there is constant innovation in the treatment of neurologic diseases. During my neurology residency, I encountered people with an array of neurologic diseases. I found my passion for treating patients with headache disorders and I completed further training in headache medicine in order to bring additional knowledge and expertise to the treatment of my patients. It is a great privilege to pursue a career that holds special meaning for me. The best part of my journey has been meeting many amazing people along the way.
About my practice
I treat patients with all types of neurologic disorders and have a specialization in headache medicine. I believe strongly in treating the entire person, not just the disease. I strive to educate our members and their families about their condition. We often need more than medications to effectively treat neurologic conditions. Whenever possible, I recommend lifestyle changes and non-medication strategies. For headache conditions, I often discuss physical activity and mindfulness when developing a treatment plan with a patient.
How I thrive
I spend as much time as I can with family and friends. I enjoy exploring Atlanta and all it has to offer. I have fun going to festivals, trying new restaurants and listening to music. I also stay physically active by walking or going to the gym.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
Information about a provider is provided to us by the provider or the provider's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. Board certification may not reflect contracted services available from providers listed in our directory. If you have questions regarding this or about any of our providers, call us at 1-800-611-1811 (toll free). For the hearing and speech impaired: 1-888-865-5813 or 711 (TTY). You can also call the Georgia Composite Medical Board at 404-656-3913, or visit their website.
