About me
I am an internal medicine board certified physician. I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, and subsequently transitioned to the United States. My profound commitment to the health care sector has been deeply rooted in me since my formative years, a commitment that crystallized when my father was diagnosed with cancer. Opting to pursue a medical education, I enrolled at Ziauddin University. Following graduation, a significant chapter unfolded in my life as I met my husband and relocated to the U.S., marking the commencement of my role as a mother with the birth of our son.
Embarking on my professional odyssey, I successfully completed my residency at Medstar Health Baltimore, collaborating with highly intelligent and empathetic medical professionals. Subsequent to the conclusion of my residency, my family and I relocated to Alpharetta, a strategic move aimed at fostering closer ties with our extended family. I consider it a distinct privilege to have contributed to diverse health care environments, both on an international scale and within the United States.
About my practice
I have chosen to pursue a career as an internal medicine doctor based on my profound passion for comprehensive patient care and a keen interest with the intricacies of adult medicine. This decision reflects my unwavering commitment to addressing a spectrum of diverse and challenging medical conditions, spanning from chronic illnesses to complex diagnostic puzzles. The emphasis on cultivating enduring relationships with patients within the field of internal medicine deeply aligns with my aspiration to make a meaningful impact on individuals' health and well-being.
My dedication extends to remaining current with medical advancements and providing compassionate, evidence-based care, reflecting my commitment to genuinely caring for my patients and the broader community. In my role as an internist at Kaiser Permanente, I am actively engaged in a purposeful journey to contribute to the field of medicine, with the goal to positively influence the lives of those under my care through the delivery of empathetic and high-quality, evidence-based medical services.
How I thrive
I derive fulfillment from tending to the well-being of those in my immediate circle. My family has imparted a profound and new dimension of happiness to my life. My upbringing in a closely-knit family has instilled in me a great appreciation for the importance of relationships, addressing both our physical and mental well-being. Engaging in quality time with close friends and family, along with the enriching experiences of travel, constitutes some of my most cherished pleasures. Given my close family ties in England and Asia, I make it a priority to travel regularly to maintain connections with my loved ones.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select providers and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
