About me
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1999 as an internal medicine physician and now work exclusively as a virtual medical doctor for the Colorado region. Although you may not sign up with me as your primary care provider (PCP), you will often find me providing virtual medical care as a Telephone and Video Advice physician or on the popular Chat with a Doctor service on kp.org. As the lead of the Telephone and Video Advice service, my team of physicians works with you from the convenience of your home computer or mobile phone to care for your medical needs.
After completing medical school at the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1992, my wife and I moved to Colorado so that I could complete my internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. Having spent years at Kaiser Permanente providing care in medical offices, my training now allows me to provide around-the-clock virtual health care for you and your family.
About my practice
An internal medicine career allowed me to treat adults with almost any medical issue, from well care physicals to heart disease and diabetes. Ankle sprains, pneumonia, back problems, blood pressure and many other issues are all within the spectrum of internal medicine.
To thrive, we must take care of our mind, body and spirit. I can help you with sound, evidence-based medical advice around the clock, when you need it. You can always expect that if you are receiving medical advice from me, it is the same advice I would give to my own family. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of your health, so I can answer your questions and coordinate your care most effectively.
How I thrive
My wife and I have 2 boys, both now in college. One wants to be a pilot and the other an engineer. We love Colorado and you can often find us exploring mountain biking trails, hiking trails, or Jeeping along the ridge of a mountain peak as a family. We thrive outside in the great outdoors away from the fast pace of the city.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. The printed directory is current as of the date of publication.

Medicare Members: To request a hard copy of Kaiser Permanente’s provider directory, please call our Member Services department at 1-800-476-2167, seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Kaiser Permanente will mail a hard copy of the provider directory to you within three (3) business days of your request. Kaiser Permanente may ask whether your request for a hard copy is a one-time request or if you are requesting to receive the provider directory in hard copy permanently.
If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
