Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was born and raised here in Denver, and am grateful to be practicing in this wonderful city. After graduating from University of Colorado with a degree in electrical engineering, I realized that I was lacking the human contact and sense of purpose that I wanted in my professional life. I moved to the East Coast for medical school, and was fortunate enough to be able to move back to Denver to continue my training in emergency medicine. I love the variety of patients I get to see in the emergency environment.
I have always enjoyed being the first provider to see a patient. Because people don't come to the emergency room with a pre-determined diagnosis, it allows me to think broadly and with a "fresh set of eyes" to try and understand how best to help. When you come to the emergency room, it is because you are concerned. By the time you leave the emergency room, I want to make sure your concern is addressed. Sometimes this is with a medication, an x-ray, or some stitches, but often times, it is through education, explanation and reassurance. I also enjoy working side-by-side with our outstanding nurses, techs, therapists, and other physicians to provide the best and most comprehensive care possible.
I love getting outside! I like backpacking and camping, and particularly enjoy fly fishing in the Colorado backcountry. I love spending time at home with my wife and two children.
