Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I was born and raised in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York. Although I've spent time across the U.S. going to college in Chicago, medical school in California and residency in Brooklyn, I've always felt the call of the Rocky Mountains, which is why I now consider Colorado home. I live here with my wife, two kids and betta fish. When I was younger I wanted to be a humpback whale when I grew up. Since it seems this isn't an option, I decided to become a doctor instead. I became a physician because I enjoy spending my days working with my hands and getting to know the interesting people who are Kaiser Permanente members.
I feel like every patient I take care of is an opportunity and a privilege. It gives me an opportunity to learn about the life of another human being, including their values, their families and their fears. My practice of medicine gives me the privilege to improve those people's lives, and learn from them myself. I strive to be mindful of the way that medical care can both heal and hurt people, and because of that I am very careful not to order unnecessary tests, medications or procedures. It is important to me that people understand what’s going on with their bodies when I take care of them. I take care of patients of all ages, from all walks of life, with all sorts of complaints.
I like to suck the marrow out of life while burning the midnight oil from both ends of the candle.
