What’s changing about how I sign in?

You’ll sign in on the kp.org home page. Before, you would use your Member ID when signing in. Now, you will use your user ID. You can use your member ID number as your user ID.

 

What is my user ID and how do I use it?

Your user ID is the unique name you’ll use to sign in directly to kp.org, along with your password. You’ll use your user ID the same way you used your Member ID. When you sign in, you’ll use your Member ID as your user ID.

 

Do I need a new Medical Record Number (MRN)? 

No, you can still use the same MRN.

 

Where is My Health/Medical Record number (MRN)?  

Your MRN is printed on the front of your Kaiser Permanente card.

 

What’s the difference between an MRN and a user ID?

The first time you sign in to kp.org, you’ll use your MRN as your user ID. Your user ID will be the unique name you create to sign in to your account, and should be different than your MRN to protect your information.

 

Where do I sign in?

You can sign in directly at kp.org.

 

What if I forget my user ID?

We can help you retrieve your user ID.

Do I need to create a new password?

You can keep your current password. If you have forgotten it, you can reset your password. forgot-password#/verify_user_details

 

When do I have to start signing in to kp.org?

As of 11/18/2021, you will have to start signing in on kp.org.

 

Why do I need to update my secret questions?

We occasionally need to update your information to ensure a high level of privacy and security for your information.

 

Has anything changed for my records or those for the people I care for?

All your information, and the information of those you care for, will now be available at kp.org.
