Where I practice
About me
I grew up in Northern California in a close-knit family that prioritized eating together and time outside. I moved from California to Chicago to attend the University of Chicago where I met some of my favorite people, learned a little about cold weather and a lot about the world. I worked through college and began volunteering at the local needle exchange where I became a fierce advocate for harm reduction. After graduating, I worked as a case manager for women living with HIV. I shifted from HIV care to HIV prevention, and I returned to the San Francisco Department of Public Health where I worked in PrEP research before deciding to go to medical school. I completed my master's in public health while in medical school as well as met my wonderful wife! I moved to Seattle and was lucky to complete my residency in Family Medicine here.
About my practice
I chose Family Medicine as a specialty because I get so much joy out of taking care of new babies, great-grandparents, and everyone in between. I strive to understand my patients' priorities, and goals and meet them wherever they are on their health journey. Quality of life, evidence-based medicine and community health are important to my practice. I hope to provide clear explanations, support during difficult times and a space where patients can feel relaxed within the health system. I am honored to be trusted as a primary care physician. Visits where I can provide gender affirming care, comprehensive reproductive care, and well childcare are always highlights of my clinic days.
How I thrive
I love growing flowers (and picking them), trying to grow vegetables, hosting dinner parties, going on hikes in the wilderness, and walking around my neighborhood and local parks. I like to do art projects of all varieties (pottery, bedazzling, watercolor), and love to read mystery novels, listen to educational podcasts, eat all types of delicious foods, and learn phrases in new languages.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
