Where I practice
About me
I was born in India and spent time in the United Kingdom, but I now consider the United States my home. I married my classmate from medical school, and we have a daughter and son.
About my practice
I decided on a career in psychiatry because I enjoy people and I think the practice of medicine should be in the context of the patient's life and aims. I like to understand the problem from my patients' points of view. I try my best to address their concerns in a timely and genuine way. I enjoy getting to know my patients over the long term and the wide variety of issues that emerge. I like the versatility and the variety this field offers, which makes it always interesting. My special focuses include psychotic disorders, mood disorders, and cultural issues. I chose to practice here because of the collaboration and support between provider teams. Patients' receive integrated primary medicine and psychiatric care. In addition, this organization is forward thinking; it readily adapts to changes in the health care system.
How I thrive
To stay healthy, I make an effort to eat well, go for walks, garden, spend time with friends and family, have some personal time, and travel away from home twice each year. I also enjoy painting and sketching botanical art, visiting art museums and garden tours, and having coffee with friends. I love being outdoors in the summer -hiking, picnics, making salads, and outdoor tea parties. I also like spending time indoors - reading, watching movies, and cooking with my family. Another important component is helping others. The Abilene Reporter News voted me a ìwork day heroî for my work in the community.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
