About me
I was born in Washington and was raised in the Chicago suburbs. I studied Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where I participated heavily in the a cappella craze that swept through college campuses at the time. After my undergraduate studies, I remained in Milwaukee and earned my medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Lured by the mountains and a curiosity about my birth state, I moved to Seattle and completed my residency at Swedish First Hill Family Medicine. Following my training, I joined the Swedish First Hill faculty, where my passion for medical training and education blossomed over my 5 years there. In 2025, I joined Kaiser Permanente to serve the Family Medicine Residency as the Associate Program Director and site director of the Burien clinic.
About my practice
I have the privilege of caring for individuals and families through all the moments that life can bring. I strive to make sure my patients are truly heard so that we can partner as a team in their health journey. I especially enjoy providing comprehensive care to the LGBTQIA+ community, including gender affirming care. I also provide HIV prevention and treatment in the Primary Care setting. Ultimately, honoring my patients' identities brings me great pride, and I am grateful to do so within Kaiser Permanente's model of care.
How I thrive
I thrive by taking advantage of all that Seattle brings: a vibrant entertainment scene, a fantastically queer culture, and the stunning natural beauty. I love attending concerts and musicals in town. I am also learning a new skill: bowling in our local Pride League. My husband and I have a blast supporting the Seattle drag scene, exploring beaches and parks, and driving into the mountains for hiking adventures. We also recharge with quality time at home with our 2 dogs, Tina Turner and Shania Twain.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
