About me

I'm a first-generation Vietnamese American born and raised in Seattle. My parents immigrated to the U.S. from Vietnam over 30 years ago. When I started sixth grade, my family moved to Renton, Washington, where I went to high school. I graduated from the University of Washington and completed my medical training in Yakima. After completing my pediatric residency training in New York, I moved back to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to my family and friends. I'm recently engaged, and we plan to get married in the summer of 2022. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of their focus on preventive medicine and patient-centered care.

About my practice

Pediatric medicine requires flexibility, patience, and continuity of care. I actively listen to my patients and their families so I can address their concerns and advocate for their well-being. I strive to create a culturally safe medical home for patients and their families. I'm also involved in helping to reduce the inequities in education, housing, and access to health care for all children. I chose pediatric medicine because the work is so rewarding. I get to be part of a team advocating for children's health in every way -- medically, socially, academically, and emotionally. I love seeing children get well.

How I thrive

I love spending time with my family and friends. We enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and camping. Watching movies and playing board games are other ways I like to relax and recharge. I enjoy baking and sharing meals with family and friends.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.

Search Tips

  • Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
  • Check your spelling.
  • Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
  • Remove any location information from the search terms box.
  • Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
  • Try searching by specialty.
