About me
I was born in India and moved to Florida at the age of 3. I completed medical school in Virginia, then moved to Albuquerque for residency. My husband and I moved to Seattle in 2011, and consider this home. It is certainly the place that I feel most comfortable. My husband and I have a spunky 1-year-old daughter, and an overly exuberant golden retriever. They keep the two of us busy and entertained. There were two things that helped me pursue medicine. The first was my aunt, who is a neonatologist (a specialized pediatrician who cares for hospitalized newborns). I was amazed by the type of work that she did and wanted to be just like her. The second was my first visit to India. I was struck by the differences in the lives of my relatives there. I realized through volunteering in college that there are areas here just as in need of help. This guided me toward family medicine. At times, I travel to help others. I have spent a month in El Salvador and India on medical trips.
About my practice
I chose Kaiser Permanente to be able to partner with patients and provide excellent health care that engages the patient in their health. Health care is ever-changing, and I appreciate working with an organization that is adaptable. I appreciate the virtual consult option within Kaiser Permanente that allows us to connect with our specialty colleagues over cases. It gives me great pride to be a part of an organization that believes that excellent, affordable health care is a right for all people. I see patients as partners in their health and look for ways to engage and excite them in maintaining or getting healthy. I appreciate the immensity of trust that patients allow me and I'm honored to be part of their lives. I love connecting with my patients and enjoy the variation in cases that I see in my day-to-day practice. I have a special interest in long-term patient care, women's health, and LGBTQ care.
How I thrive
I love to travel and explore new places. My husband has family in the Caribbean, so I am lucky to spend family time there often. I enjoy running and am training for a 5K race with friends. It has been a great way to exercise my golden retriever. I enjoy yoga and regularly take classes to keep myself grounded. I also enjoy cooking and playing with my daughter.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
