About me
As a lifelong resident of Washington State, I feel privileged to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Though Im originally from the Spokane area, I grew up north of Seattle and still enjoy going back to visit extended family and spending time around Puget Sound. I went to the University of Washington but residency brought me back to Spokane 20 years ago. The Inland Northwest captured my heart, and my family and I call this place home. Family practice is a great fit for me, which is why Ive been in this area of medicine for more than 20 years.
About my practice
I practice full-spectrum family medicine from birth through old age, including family-centered maternity care and deliveries. Typical office procedures I perform include skin biopsies, skin excisions, and joint injections, and I also evaluate and treat cervical dysplasia. I especially enjoy getting to know my patients, addressing their needs, and coordinating their care. I strive to keep up with the latest advances and recommendations. When I apply this information in my practice, however, I always keep in mind the unique nature of each patients situation as well as my patients preferences. My goal is to be the kind of family doctor my patients can turn to when they need help getting through tough times or illnesses-and when they want to celebrate lifes miracles.
How I thrive
Outside of the clinic, I rejuvenate by spending time with family and pets, cooking, and enjoying outdoor activities such as skiing, walking, and hiking to nearby lakes. I occasionally travel, too. I stay healthy by eating healthy food (most of the time), exercising regularly, and trying to get enough sleep. Its not always easy, but I try to lead by example and find time for self-health.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
