About me
I was born and raised in Southern California, but have lived in Western Washington since 1992. I am happily married to my wife, an RN, and we have four children, a golden retriever, and two cats. As a young child, it was the technology and fast-pace of health care that excited me. In college, it was the challenge. As an adult, without question, the most attractive parts of the job are the healing and caregiving aspects of the work. I am a member of both the Physician Wellness Committee and Graduate Medical Education Committee at Harrison Medical Center. I also perform yearly camp physicals for local Boy Scouts of America troops.
About my practice
I started working here since I sought to practice high-quality medicine with the support and backup that only an organization like this can provide. I soon found myself freed from the day-to-day worries of running a business and could focus more on my patients. I am committed to doing the right thing at the right time for my patients and their families, whom I try to treat as if they are my own family. I am particularly interested in working with hospital medicine and outpatient care for chronically or critically ill adults. Practicing medicine has given me the opportunity to meet a tremendous number of people and each one has something interesting to share with me. These stories and relationships have added color, knowledge and experience to my life.
How I thrive
My hobbies include camping, fly fishing, adventure travel, white water rafting, scuba diving, snorkeling scouting and parenting. To keep myself healthy, I exercise at least five times a week.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
