About me
I was born and raised in the Philippines. I went to Ohio for my medical residency and then moved to Silverdale, Washington, which I now call home. My best friend (my wife) and I have a daughter and son. My father was my inspiration for becoming a physician. He instilled in me the value of service to others and pushed me to strive for greater knowledge that I could use to serve my neighbors. Practicing medicine allows me to live out these values. I was the president of my medical school's fraternity and during my term, we performed medical and surgical missions to rural areas. These activities garnered us multiple awards, including an award in 2004 from the Office of the President for being one of the 10 most accomplished youth organizations on campus.
About my practice
Working here allows me to collaborate with a team of professionals trying to improve the health of our society. I am provided with the opportunity to be part of a team that is shaping the practice of medicine and am offered resources that assist me in practicing up-to-date evidence-based medicine. My approach to care is to treat patients like they are part of my family. I actively listen to them and provide recommendations based on their concerns and values. In my practice, patients are always involved in decision making. Aside from the pleasure of healing, comforting and curing patients, I treasure the relationships that are created with my patients where they feel safe sharing private information. My specialty is working in hospital medicine.
How I thrive
In my free time, I like running and golfing. I also enjoy spending quality time with my family, which involves playing with my kids or bringing my wife on dinner dates. I facilitate bible study sessions with my church group.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
