About me
I've lived in Eastern Washington most of my life. I grew up in Moses Lake and graduated from Washington State University with an undergraduate degree in nutrition. My husband and I moved to Spokane in 1998 to pursue our careers. We've been here ever since. We have 3 beautiful daughters and a house full of cats and dogs.
About my practice
While I enjoyed working in the nutrition field, it left me wanting more patient interaction. As a physician assistant, I've been blessed to interact with patients on a personal level. Hopefully, I'm making a positive change in their health. I appreciate Kaiser Permanente's well-rounded approach to health care, with its team environment and providers across multiple specialties. Sometimes the best thing you can offer a patient is a listening ear. There may not be an answer to every question but having a provider who genuinely cares is important. My approach to patient care includes shared decision-making. I enjoy forging strong relationship with patients and their families and really getting to know them and their needs. I see patients of all ages and backgrounds. I like doing wellness exams and helping patients avoid chronic disease. Allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal issues, and women's health are some of my favorite areas of practice.
How I thrive
I love reading, especially mystery and suspense novels. I enjoy scrapbooking about my family and our events. I'm involved with my church, and I am active with our children's schools. Additionally, staying physically active is vital for my peace of mind. It allows me to get rid of stress in a positive way, and it keeps my body healthy. I try to vary my physical activity to prevent boredom. I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors. I also love to learn new things and hobbies. Traveling is also fun but being home with my family is my favorite place to be.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
