Where I practice
About me
I am a husband, a father of five, a science enthusiast, and a grateful former Soldier physician. With my incredible wife and partner, Alicia, we raised a family while moving frequently. I started as a flight surgeon in Korea, moved to Washington D.C., and later became the Chief of Preventive and Chemical Surety Medicine at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Next, we went to Fort Sam Houston where I served as Occupational Medicine Consultant for the Great Plains region. Between overseas deployments, I completed additional preventive medicine training and helped build an occupational medicine residency program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord where I served my final years in the military. I am blessed to have served and I personally believe that we are all at our best when serving others. I bring that philosophy to my work at Kaiser Permanente every day. Today, I am honored and thrilled to be a Kaiser physician helping our workers get the care they need.
About my practice
I treat my patients with the greatest respect and consideration, working hard to help them return to their optimal health. As an Occupational Medicine physician treating workers, I understand that my patients need to be at their best health for their job and for the activities they enjoy away from work. I listen to and partner with my patients and give them the tools they need to make the best health care choices.
How I thrive
I enjoy hiking and staying active in the local community. I look forward to the return of my oldest son, an Army aviation specialist, and his family to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Perhaps my greatest joy is working with my courageous and uniquely challenged youngest daughter to make it further than imagined possible. Every day, she is a true champion and inspiration for me.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
