About this program

The class is intended for people who are interested in nutrition education, creating accountability, and building new skills. The class focuses on making long-term nutrition and lifestyle habit changes. Note: This class is not appropriate for individuals with nutrient restrictions related to chronic kidney disease or on dialysis.
ABOUT THIS INSTRUCTOR

Taught by a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), this series is comprised of twelve classes. The series is divided into four sections, and each section includes three one-hour classes. To complete all sections of the series, it takes 4 months, 1 month per section.  Sections must be taken in order as the information and tools build on each other. Members can take sections consecutively (over 4 months), or take a break between sections and complete the program at your own pace. 

Each week, a 60-minute live session is held virtually. You can join on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Topics include:

  • Month 1: Intro, positive self-talk and moving your muscles
  • Month 2: Calories, macronutrients, and label reading
  • Month 3: Enjoyment of food, mindful eating, and problem solving
  • Month 4: Grocery shopping and cooking, environmental cues, and dining out
