About this program

Whether you’re an expectant parent or already snuggling your newborn, you may need support in mastering the basics of nursing. Join certified lactation consultants from Kaiser Permanente for Nursing Your Newborn, a free 90-minute live session held virtually. From getting a good latch to keeping up your milk supply, this class offers expert tips on how to make nursing a positive experience for you and your baby. We encourage you to bring a support person and all your questions. This is a live video class. You can join on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, or dial in on your phone. Topics include: • Benefits of breast milk • How milk is made • Bonding with your newborn • Establishing a good milk supply • Latching and positioning your baby • Pumping and storing milk • Infant needs and behavior • Common nursing concerns • Where to find support
