About me
I was born in Nanning, China, the capital city of Guangxi in Southern China, where my parents live. They are both Chinese herbal pharmacists. Growing up in a hospital-based community, I saw how health care could have a lasting, positive impact on people's lives. I earned my Bachelor of Science in nursing at UCLA. I worked as a pediatric nurse, and that experience gave me a deep appreciation for preventive care. I'm happily married to my husband, whom I met at the end of my college years. We moved to Seattle in 2010, and we have 2 sons, who are in elementary and middle school, and a sweet cocker spaniel and bichon frisÈ mix. After my children were born, I went back to school and earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus on caring for families. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of their forward-thinking approach to preventive care including their commitment to promoting cancer screenings. I'm grateful to combine my passion for preventive care with family-focused patient care.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include pediatrics and women's health. My goal is to partner with my patients, guide them with their health decisions, and encourage them on their journey to be their best selves. To me, family medicine is a team sport. I enjoy building long-lasting relationships with my patients and their families. I'm always willing to open my heart to the people who walk into our clinic. There are endless opportunities to make positive impacts on my patients' lives, which is very rewarding.
How I thrive
I stay active by hiking, swimming, and practicing yoga. Camping with family and friends helps me recharge. I love spending time with my patients, colleagues, friends, families, and neighbors. Volunteering at school and in our community keeps me motivated and inspired. I enjoy coaching kids in math and cheering for my kids' soccer team.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
