About me
I was born in Bellevue, Washington, and attended the University of Washington. I wanted to become a doctor since I can remember -- I've always loved science and being social. Clinical medicine was a natural fit for me. I completed my medical training in Washington, D.C., and did my ob-gyn residency at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. I wanted to come home to Seattle to practice medicine long-term because there's nowhere else like it. I'm happily married to my middle school sweetheart, and we're excited to welcome our son into the world. We also love our Yorkie, Prudence. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because I truly believe this model of health care is what is needed to provide the most people with quality health care. I feel grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine and connect with my patients.
About my practice
I strongly believe in shared decision-making with my patients. I try my best to educate and share all options so that they're well-informed and invested in their health care decisions and outcomes. It's a privilege to be part of so many intimate and rare moments in people's lives. It's what makes my job so rewarding. I love working with a team to provide health care that's efficient, effective, and communicative. I enjoy building relationships with my patients, staff, and doctors in other fields. Practicing medicine lets me be a lifelong learner, which helps me improve the quality of care for my patients.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
