About me
I was born in Seattle, and I spent my childhood in the Mill Creek area. I moved to a small school outside Portland, Oregon, for undergrad and then stayed in the area for five years. My husband and I spent a year traveling around the world before I started graduate school in Boston. We moved back to Seattle for my residency. I've been married for 12 years and have two energetic boys.
About my practice
I'd loved the sciences, and I was fascinated with human health, but I wasn't certain at age 18 that I wanted to be a physician. I got a bachelor's degree in business administration and was an adjunct professor of marketing before deciding that I wanted to do work that changed people's lives. These days, I try to be the best physician I can. My interests are women's health, prenatal care and delivery, pediatrics, palliative care and long-term patient care. I love to teach, from basic education on breastfeeding to the limits of current medical knowledge and when more pills and tests will actually do harm. I get great joy in seeing my patients understand these discussions and become empowered. Working here is great. We can focus on patients, not their diseases, and use the latest evidence to provide the right care at the right time.
How I thrive
On my off hours, I love running with my husband, baking with my older son and finger painting with the younger one. After an inevitably chaotic and fun evening of eating together and discussing our children's big and small questions, my favorite way to end the day is to put the boys in the double stroller and take a long walk with my husband. It's good for my body and my soul.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
