Where I practice
About me
I was born and raised in Madras, India, where I completed medical school and advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology. My passion for human connection and patient care led me to pursue a career in medicine. After moving to New Jersey, I found my calling in medical oncology field where I could guide patients through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I began my oncology career over 20 years ago at the VA hospital and Rutgers University, where I had the privilege of helping veterans access cutting-edge treatments. As an attending physician, I also mentored many medical residents, several of whom have gone on to become outstanding oncologists across the country.
I’m married and have two adult children, who are the inspiration behind my move to the Pacific Northwest. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because its philosophy of integrated, patient-centered care closely mirrors my values and my earlier work at the VA.
About my practice
Cancer care has evolved rapidly over the last two decades, and I’m committed to staying current with scientific advancements so I can offer my patients the most informed and meaningful treatment options. I especially enjoy helping patients and their families navigate the complexities of a new cancer diagnosis with clarity and compassion. I am passionate about managing hematologic malignancies and take pride in delivering thoughtful, personalized care.
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
I specialize in the treatment of complex hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and benign blood disorders. My clinical expertise includes breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, skin cancers, lung cancer and thymoma, and thyroid and endocrine tumors.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I work closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure that patients receive seamless, coordinated care. I actively participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews to guide treatment planning—especially for complex or rare conditions. This collaborative approach enables the development of individualized, evidence-based care plans aligned with each patient’s goals and values. I strive to serve not only as a clinician but also as an advocate and trusted guide for my patients throughout their cancer journey.
Professional Affiliations
I am a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which allows me to remain engaged with the latest advances in cancer care and research.
How I thrive
Gardening and spending quality time with my family bring me joy and balance. I stay active through swimming and walking, and I have a deep appreciation for travel—especially exploring the culture and history of other countries. Austria and Prague are among my favorite destinations.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips

- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
