About me
I grew up in Modesto, California. I moved to the Bay Area for undergraduate studies and optometry school at the University of California, Berkeley. I can't wait to start exploring Seattle.
About my practice
I was inspired to pursue optometry after working as an undergraduate in a research lab studying eye infections. Joining Kaiser Permanente for my primary care residency training offers a fantastic opportunity to care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. I'm looking forward to working with a supportive team of optometrists as I seek to expand my clinical knowledge. I believe Kaiser is a great place for providers to ensure that patients can easily access other specialists in the healthcare system when needed. As a primary eye care provider, I love being able to solve problems and help patients. The right prescription can make a huge impact on someone's quality of life. Ocular health can also be an indicator of systemic health and this field allows me to connect patients with the next level of care if necessary. My approach to care is evidence-based, compassionate, preventive, and individualized.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy backpacking, cross country skiing, and sailing. I also love to play the piano in chamber music groups. I stay mentally and physically healthy by mixing up my exercise routine with bouldering, ballet classes, tennis, and biking. I love to watercolor as a creative outlet. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time connecting with family and friends.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
