Where I practice
About me
I was born in Massachusetts but grew up in upstate New York. Since then, I've lived in California, Illinois, New Zealand, and Washington. I have family on both U.S. coasts and in New Zealand, and I consider both places as home. The Pacific Northwest holds a special place in my heart. I'm happily married to my Australian husband, and we have 2 young children and an affectionate cat. I always knew I wanted to do something that combined science with teaching and improving people's lives. When I saw my first birth as a midwife intern, I knew immediately that it was the field for me. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of their unique coordinated-care model that lets me have access to many other specialties, all in one place. I also appreciate their commitment to research and evidence-based care.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include teen and LGBTQ care, birth control, and perinatal mental health care. I love the trust and relationships I build with clients. I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions, and I strive to actively listen and provide answers. I believe in patient-centered, respectful, and collaborative care. My goal is to provide the best education and up-to-date evidence I can to my patients, and to support them on whatever path they choose. My job is such a privilege -- I get to be part of an intimate, important part of people's lives.
How I thrive
I try to get outside every day and find some quite time, which can be a challenge with young children. As a family, we love hiking, biking, and swimming. Traveling around the U.S, exploring new places around the world, and visiting family helps me recharge. I also enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes for friends and family.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
