About me
I was born and raised in Texas. I knew medicine was my future from a young age, but did enjoy getting an Art History degree in college before moving on to medical school. I love the fact that medicine allows me to use my passions for science, education, and playing with children to care for families during each stage of their children's lives. After finishing medical school, I moved to Seattle in 2015 to complete my training in Pediatrics, because I was enamored by the wild places of the Pacific Northwest. During training, I met my husband who is also a PNW transplant and convert. We recently had our first child and have enjoyed introducing him to everything we love about living here.
About my practice
I work in hospital and urgent care settings, which means I usually meet families during times of stress and fear. I consider it a great privilege to guide and support families through their children's experience with illness or injury. I strive to partner with parents during this journey to make sure they feel heard, supported, and informed while we work together to get their children healthy and home. The other part of my role is to see newborns in the hospital before they go home for the first time. Participating in this joyful, life changing, and overwhelming time is an honor. I love teaching new parents about newborns and all the wonderfully weird things they do as they figure out how to become their own little person.
How I thrive
I enjoy going outside with my family and experiencing all the PNW has to offer. We love hiking, camping, and kayaking as well as a simple day at the park. I also like to spend cozy days at home filled with puzzles, board games, and reading fantasy books. We travel as much as we can because we like to experience different outdoor spaces, try new foods, and meet new people. Back at home, I use yoga, art, and my amateur gardening skills to unwind from busy days at work.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
