About me
I was born in Virginia. I'm happily partnered, and I have an awesome, hilarious kid. We live alongside a cat named Kiki and a dog named Munky. It's a beautiful life. I've lived all over the country, including Massachusetts, Texas, South Carolina, and Illinois. I'm grateful to call Washington state my forever home. I felt called to become a healer from the time I was a young child. I was drawn to midwifery because I believe that a world that is good for women is good for everyone. I want to do my part in creating a healed, sustainable, and equitable future for my community and the world. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of the team of dedicated, compassionate midwives and clinicians and their patient-centered approach to care. I'm grateful for the supportive environment and the many resources available to me.
About my practice
My areas of expertise include reproductive health; pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care; peripartum mental health support; trauma-informed care for survivors of abuse and assault; and LGBTQ+ care. I also have sensitivity and experience with poly and nontraditional families. I want my patients feel safe and comfortable. My patients know their own bodies better than anyone else, and I trust them to make decisions that are best for them and their families. I strive to always be a safe, trustworthy midwife by providing accurate information about their health and choices. I aim to be open and nonjudgmental, and I'm committed to examining my own implicit biases when they come up. I love building authentic connections with my patients as they journey through life's transitions. My patients have taught me so much about resilience, compassion, and healing. Being a midwife has shaped me into a kinder, wiser, and more patient human being, and I'm deeply grateful for these gifts.
How I thrive
I take care of my mental health through rest, sleep, and taking breaks from screens. My active social life and rich spiritual practices keep me grounded and inspired. I nourish my body by being active, working in my garden, and cooking food that I grew or foraged. More than anything, I enjoy quality time with my family and friends.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
