Where I practice
About me
I grew up in Isfahan, a big city in the center of Iran, and studied in one of the top medical schools in that country before moving to the United States. When I was in high school, my father became sick for a long time. His illness impacted every member of our family. During that time, I learned how a doctor can have a huge impact on a patient and every single member of the family. I wanted to become a doctor to help people, to ease their pain, and to inspire them to have a better, healthier life. I'm married to a brilliant man who has a PhD in electrical engineering. We have an adorable 2-year-old son.
About my practice
Neurology was always my passion. In my second year of medical school, I had the opportunity to work on multiple sclerosis (MS) research. I worked with many MS patients and got to know a lot about their lives. That inspired me to become more knowledgeable in the field to be able to help them more. I did my neurology residency at the University of Iowa, where I founded a clinic for MS patients. I later came to Seattle for a fellowship in MS. As a neurologist, I strive to treat not just the neurological disease, but also the fear, anguish, and confusion that come with it. I try to constantly keep updated on the latest published information to be able to offer that to my patients if appropriate. I also recognize the limits of my knowledge and seek consultation with my amazing colleagues. I'm grateful to have this opportunity to utilize my many years of education and experience to help patients and their loved ones, and I do my best to make sure they receive the best care.
How I thrive
I try to work out for at least 20 minute a day, and especially enjoy doing this at home with my son. I stay mentally and physically healthy by eating healthy (more protein, fewer carbs). I enjoy connecting with friends and going on trips with friends and family. I also have a passion for painting and love to read a good book.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
