About me
My family and I moved all over the country during my youth because we traveled with my father's construction company. I completed high school through medical school in Washington state. I moved to Michigan for my medical residency training and then moved back home to be near family. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart. We have a beautiful daughter and a loveable cat.
About my practice
I am fascinated by the human body and love science, teaching and helping others. Pursuing a career in medicine has been the best way for me to combine my passions and utilize my talents. I am honored to provide care to my patients, and I learn from them. I am excited to join Kaiser Permanente to provide patients with compassionate and evidence-based care. Across the organization, there are excellent resources for patients and also learning opportunities for providers. My philosophy of care includes treating patients like family members. My goal is to get to know each patient personally. I strive to help my patients understand the diagnosis and treatment options so that they can make an informed decision about their health care. My medical interests include women's health, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, maternity medicine, contraception, adolescent medicine, and menopause. I especially enjoy the personal connections I make with my patients.
How I thrive
I love the outdoors and exploring nature, dancing, playing sports, vegetable and flower gardening, bird watching, knitting, cooking and baking, and I love being a mom. I also enjoy getting together with family and friends and sharing a home cooked meal and laughing. I like going to sporting events and cheering for local teams. I stay healthy by growing and cooking my own food and being physically active.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
