Where I practice
About me
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. With the Rams having left St. Louis, I am now a committed Seahawks fan. I am happily married with three beautiful children. I care about justice - both here and abroad. I am involved in various charitable endeavors and with my Evangelical church.
About my practice
Improving the lives of patients in substantial and meaningful ways is what inspired me to become a clinician. When I was training in internal medicine, I tied with my wife in voting for the most humanistic resident by my fellow residents and the faculty. At Kaiser Permanente, I enjoy being able to focus on the practice of medicine instead of having to worry about the business of medicine. Caring about the quality of care I give my patients also allows me to practice in a more ethical manner. I try to teach my patients about their disease so they can better understand why I recommend one course of action over another. I try to teach general principles that my patients can apply throughout their lives as they manage their rheumatic condition. Gout, rheumatoid arthritis, and polymyalgia rheumatica are diseases I particularly enjoy treating. I am also comfortable treating a variety of rheumatic diseases. I enjoy developing relationships with my patients as most rheumatic diseases last a lifetime.
How I thrive
I love to travel. Antarctica is my favorite vacation destination. I also enjoy playing basketball. I am a huge proponent of daily healthy habits. I exercise daily for a short amount of time in a high-intensity manner, and have done so since college.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
