About me
I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and am a proud graduate of Garfield High School (Go Bulldogs!). I wanted to experience another part of the country before returning back to Seattle so I went to the East coast for my undergraduate and medical education. I was fortunate to be able to return to my hometown for my residency training at Group Health and after completing my training, joined the medical staff. Today I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have one daughter.
About my practice
Growing up my father instilled in me an enduring interest in life sciences. My mother balanced career with active volunteerism. Medicine seemed like a natural way to combine love of science with the importance of giving back to community. I was drawn to family medicine because it allows me to have a diverse practice and develop long-term relationships with my patients. I get to know entire families and care for them at all stages of their lives. I chose to be part of Kaiser Permanente because it is an exceptional organization that works to provide high-quality care and puts patients first. I work with a supportive staff and collaborate with specialists to deliver the best care possible. In addition, I am a clinical instructor with the University of Washington's Dept. of Family Medicine, teaching medical students and residents. I try to encourage healthy choices to help prevent disease later in life and believe in building relationships enabling individuals to determine their healthcare goals.
How I thrive
When I am away from my practice I enjoy Seattle's many fine coffee shops, parks and views. To relax I spend time with friends and family, try new recipes and travel. I stay physically active with my family by snowshoeing in the winter, kayaking in the summer, and by swimming and taking long walks the rest of the year. To stay healthy, motivated and inspired I spend quality time with my family, strive to get regular sleep and exercise.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
