Where I practice
About me
I was born in Colorado and grew up in California. After completing medical school on the East Coast, I returned to San Francisco for postgraduate training. I have three daughters who keep me very busy at home. My oldest, who is seven, wants to speak to my boss because she thinks I spend too much time at work. Medicine is extremely rewarding. I've had the opportunity to talk to members about their lives and values and help some of them through difficult times.
About my practice
I started working here immediately after my medical training at Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Francisco. It was a deliberate choice because I believe the future of medicine is with organizations like this where we work as a team, communicate seamlessly, and maintain a primary focus on health and health outcomes. I hope every member I see in the clinic feels that they have received the best service, experience, and advice possible. The care every member gets should be the same quality of care I'd hope my own family would receive. My specialties are working in inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. At my job, no day is ever the same; there are new challenges and rewards every day I come to work. It's a privilege to work with colleagues who are dedicated and motivate me to continually improve and evolve as the field of medicine changes.
How I thrive
My hobbies are running to and from work, playing the violin, and travelling. Every weekend, we cook dinner for the week for our young family. We also take our children out for walks in city parks no matter what the weather - my three girls think that rain just means there are more puddles to splash in and more worms and snails to find. Finding some quiet downtime is hard in our fast-paced society. I try to take the Seattle Metro Bus to work as much as possible because it's the one time I get to think about the day's events and reflect on what's going on at work and at home.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
