About me
I grew up in Illinois and moved to Seattle for my residency training in Ob/Gyn. I am married and have two young children. I love medicine because of my interactions with patients and co-workers. I chose this medical specialty because it encompasses the joy and pain of the entire human experience.
About my practice
I am the local chief of ob-gyn and midwifery at Kaiser Permanente in Bellevue, Washington. I wanted to practice somewhere that is all inclusive, so I could focus on medicine, not running a business. I strive to treat all patients with respect. I listen to their concerns and try to understand what they are going through. I enjoy seeing my patients from their first prenatal visit, to delivery, to their postpartum visit with their newborn. I also enjoy getting to know the whole family. Specific medical interests include contraception, low and high-risk obstetrics, sexually transmitted diseases, infertility and medical ethics.
How I thrive
My family is always hosting international guests, and we love to learn about different cultures. I strive to eat a healthy and great tasting diet, get massage therapy every three weeks, laugh a lot, keep a positive outlook, be active with my kids, and stay connected with friends and family. I enjoy lifting weights, cardio workouts, Pilates, and Barre, as well as cooking new things and old favorites, celebrating holidays with three generations of family members, and going out to dinner with my husband and friends.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
