About me
I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and subsequently attended Optometry School at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Afterward, I moved to the Pacific Northwest to complete my residency training in primary care at Kaiser Permanente. The majority of my family lives in Wisconsin so I try to visit frequently. I began wearing glasses and contact lenses at a young age, so my own experiences inspired me to pursue a career in the field of Optometry. I love the challenges optometry provides me every day, and this inspires me to stay up to date on the latest research.
About my practice
I strive to get to know my patients so that I may better understand their vision and eye health concerns. I actively listen to my patients, in order to develop an individualized care plan to achieve their vision and eye health goals. It is important to me that my patients understand their eye conditions and we work together in order to find solutions that will work for them. Kaiser Permanente's cooperative care system is wonderful. I love that practicing at Kaiser allows me to easily collaborate with other physicians to provide the best possible care for each patient.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. I also love to spend time exploring the outdoors, hiking, gardening, and traveling when I can.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
