About me
I was originally born here in Seattle, WA but spent most of my childhood in both Sacramento and San Diego, CA. After completing my medical training at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, I realized that I truly belonged back up here which is where I ultimately returned. I met my husband shortly upon returning, and we are now proud parents to our 2 young daughters. While I often miss the sunshine and beaches in California, I feel that nothing surpasses the rich culture, diversity and a breathtaking backdrop of our great northwest surroundings.
About my practice
Ever since I was a young gymnast and insisted on taping my teammates' ankles, I always knew I would enter the field of medicine. I have a strong passion for science but an even stronger drive to help others. Being a clinician fosters both the scientist and caregiver in me. Despite how challenging this field can be, it is extremely rewarding to be able to help people on a daily basis. Providing excellent medical care starts with an innate respect for the values and concerns of each individual as a whole. I believe in treating the person, not just the condition, while addressing the emotional, cultural and physical needs of each. I focus on women's and teen health as well as behavioral health. Joining this organization has proven to be a wonderful career choice. I am so proud to be part of an integrated health care system where my personal values align so closely with those of Kaiser Permanente.
How I thrive
Finding the right balance between mind, body and soul has always helped me maintain my health. While I am passionate about my career, I am equally as passionate about my family and friends. Like any working mother, I maximize any free minute I have with my 2 little girls. Staying healthy when you have a busy schedule sometimes requires a little creativity, whether that means playing tag in the backyard with the kids, or cooking healthy meals together. My other hobbies include classic novels and film, travel, and interior design and home renovation. I also grew up playing the harp, and still find music to be very therapeutic.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
