About me
I was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, and I went to college and medical school in that state. I moved to Seattle in 1996 for residency. My husband and I have two children and live in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. I'm a board member of one of Seattle's public schools, and I love to teach medical graduate students.
About my practice
I knew I wanted to be a physician from an early age. I decided on family medicine so I could care for families over many years. I spent the first part of my career in the community health system, and I believe family medicine doctors have a unique ability to approach health from a holistic view. I chose this organization for its work-life balance and the easier access for patients to services they need. I feel fortunate to work with such generous colleagues, who are willing to step in and provide assistance and advice that enables patients to get the best care. In this system, patients have less wasted time and health care costs for repetitive tests because we work together as a group. I believe that health care is a right. All patients deserve respect and have their concerns heard. I love seeing patients in all stages of life, and my special focus is women's health and geriatric.
How I thrive
I exercise three to four times per week, and read every night. I allow myself to rest when I need to rest. My family is what motivates and inspires me, and I love to play with my kids. Our family loves to travel, and Hawaii is a favorite destination, as we have family on Maui. The beach is our favorite place, and we would spend most of the summer there if we could.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
Search Tips
- Can’t find your provider? Additional facilities can be found by searching under Locations.
- Check your spelling.
- Broaden your search by using fewer words or more general words.
- Remove any location information from the search terms box.
- Search by practitioner name (ex. ‘John Smith’ instead of ‘Steel City Chiropractic Group’).
- Try searching by specialty.
