About me
I grew up in Seattle, and after my medical education at Oregon Health and Science University, I returned home to practice medicine in a community where I feel connected. I have a wonderful, supportive boyfriend who makes sure that after work, I'm well fed. We enjoy cooking, gardening and taking adventures locally and abroad in our free time.
About my practice
I decided to pursue a career in medicine because of my curiosity about the human body and love of teaching and interacting with people. Finding joy in teaching pushed me to take on an educational role with physician assistant students and others interested in entering the medical field. Joining Kaiser Permanente has enabled me to practice medicine with a wealth of resources. Specialty advice and opinions are just a phone call away, and evidence-based guidelines are easily accessible to help determine the best course of care. With these resources, I can work together with my patients as a team to figure out the best plan of care and grow as a provider each day. I start by listening to patients and understanding their concerns. I look forward to our conversations and feel privileged to listen to their stories. My main interests are women's, pediatric, teen and geriatric health, as well as dermatology.
How I thrive
I love exploring the outdoors and the urban jungle of Seattle. I try to practice what I preach and get outside for a 30-minute walk most days of the week. I fuel my body with healthy foods and challenge myself to add variety to my diet. I also like swimming, photography, printmaking, hiking and dancing. Most of all, I laugh and smile with family and friends because I believe laughter is one of the best medications we have.

How we choose our network providers and hospitals
Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business, and uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
A narrow network is defined as a tailored, tiered, or high-performance network that has 80 percent or less overlap with a health plan’s broadest network offered to a member in any type of plan offered by that health plan. Kaiser Permanente does not have a narrow network with respect to its Marketplace plans. Members enrolled in Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) Marketplace plans have access to the same provider networks as members enrolled in all other KFHP plans.
